My days in SCU are wonderful! I am not saying that epic or amazing events happen every day, but I think I have made my college life great in my own way.
When I first arrived on campus, I was curious about everything! I wanted to experience the classroom atmosphere, the western college culture and reslife. SCU did not fail me, and actually, it surprises me, every single day.
My average day on campus is pretty similar to the average student, but my daily experiences means a lot to me. If I have morning class, I wake up early and go to Benson to get Bronco Breakfast. Yes, yes, most people hate morning class, including me, but I just cannot miss the amazing french toast and coffee to kick start my day. After class I often go to Benson again and meet some friends. We chat about classes, reslife, and gossip (we girls just like that, what can I say, sigh). I leave time to go back to my dorm to change my textbooks before I go to my next class. Basically, I have three class on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and I have two classes on Tuesday and Thursday. It can be busy during mid-term weeks and finals week but I manage them well.
After a whole day of classes, I usually go to gym to relax and sometimes I go have dinner off-campus with friends. One of my favorite places to go after class is the share tea store 5 mins away from campus. It is amazing! The classic milk tea gives me energy to go back to my room and write my papers.
Some of my photographs from long weekend trips and day trips:
I have to admit that I love Friday because come on, no one can say no to Friday! On Friday night, I sometimes go to the movies to watch a new movie with my friends and have an excellent dinner. I also go to some parties off campus or in San Jose. Parties are the perfect opportunity to talk to lots of people and make new friends. Somedays, like President’s Day, fall on the Friday or Monday so we will have a long weekend and I usually go to San Francisco or LA with friends. After all, big cities provide lots of fun!
I love my college life at SCU and I really hope that these things I wrote about can offer you a clue about what college life is actually like.
