Santa Clara University is a beautiful campus. I can say that with authority because before actually coming here to study I visited SCU. “Why should I visit campus?” is an important question that needs some clarification.
Yes, it’ll take time out of your summer break. Yes, it’ll involve thinking about college. But taking a tour of any college will help you understand whether you belong there or not. I have so many friends who had planned to go to different colleges until they visited SCU’s campus.
It gives a perspective like no other. You get a feel of what classes will be like, where you’ll eat or just hang out with friends. You’ll also understand whether you like small, suburban campuses as compared to the city ones.
Before coming here, I was unsure whether I would fit in because of the small sized campus and somewhat suburban feel. I wasn’t sure that a “city girl” like me would enjoy it. However, I must say having taken a thorough, well-informed tour I immediately felt a connection and belonging.
I absolutely loved the gardens, the open spaces and the feel of campus. Looking at pictures or watching videos does not do justice to visiting a campus. I would highly recommend touring college campuses because it helps clear up any doubt you may have.
Campus tours are led by current students and can be booking details can be found here: https://www.scu.edu/admission/undergraduate/visits-events/book-your-visit/
